Job Description:

GoAeroMx is seeking experienced Structural Aircraft Maintenance Technicians who are proficient in the modification, fabrication and installation of structural components such as antenna doublers and component mounting structures, that can travel as needed to support our contracted work requirements.  GoAeroMx specializes in the installation and modification of upgraded avionics systems that ensure our customers' aircraft are current with Global Navigation System and Air Traffic Management requirements.  GoAeroMx is based in Texas.

In this role, you will primarily support our Avionics GoTeams and be expected to perform structural modifications for component installations, coordination, inspections, and logistical duties.  The ability to travel with one's own tools is required. Travel, accommodations, and daily per diem are paid.  You may be required to travel up to 80% of the time to support contracted work requirements.

  • Perform structural repairs and modifications including but not limited to installation of antennas, fuselage doublers, frame, intercostal, and stringer repair/modification using approved and accepted technical data, OEM manuals, service bulletins, and approved/accepted engineering data. 
  • Ensure all technical manuals referenced for work and repairs are available and current.
  • Ensure that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements, company standards, and engineering specifications.
  • Clearly communicate all installation, modification, or repair issues and coordinate with engineering on solutions.
  • Coordinate with and assist other team members to ensure safe on-time delivery of aircraft.
  • Maintain required documentation including but not limited to aircraft logs, records and daily turnover logs.
  • Update aircraft Weight and Balance records as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the nature of the business
  • Enforces the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the work area and the hangar is kept to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
  • Perform peer-to-peer checks with other team members to ensure a defect free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Properly care for and maintain shop equipment, calibrated instrumentation, and tools as assigned by the Team Lead.
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with GoAeroMx policies and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Must adhere to all safety standards established by GoAeroMx and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure all repair requests are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Report any incident immediately to Quality and Safety in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
  • Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR § 65.83 and read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Three (3) years or more of related technical experience is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
  • Advance knowledge of Transport Category Aircraft Structural Repairs, Modifications and Alterations.
  • Current FAA Airframe and Power-Plant (A&P) certificate required for line maintenance operations
  • Must have the appropriate experience, evidenced by employment history, training, certification or practical tests to perform in a supervisory capacity if required.
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and manuals, tooling and test equipment.
  • Knowledge of manuals necessary to perform the job; assist in troubleshooting aircraft electrical and aviation systems, and measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications and ability to become efficient in company technology and software programs.
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 80% of the time to domestic and international locations to support contracted work.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering orders, blueprints, technical drawings and schematic diagrams with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Aircraft OEM Manuals (Airbus, Douglas and/or Boeing).
  • Understand and possess basic computer skills for use in record keeping, parts ordering, time and attendance, and data entry.  
  • Possess basic sheet metal tooling such as drills, rivet sets, and bucking bars.
  • Possess basic hand tools used in aviation maintenance.
  • Must be able to work extended 10 to 12-hour shifts and consecutive days as needed.
  • Must possess strong, accurate and legible written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work as a team member, be highly organized and work well in high-stress environments.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods in standing, squatting, or kneeling positions with frequent bending, twisting, pulling, pushing and crawling. 
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces for wire routing, wire terminations, or general modifications and maintenance. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 25 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. 
  • Must be willing to work in various environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather environments.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stands.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
