Job Title: Aviation Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Aviation Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in aviation maintenance and modifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting various tasks related to aircraft maintenance and modifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support detailed maintenance and modification plans.
- Assist apprentices and collaborate with crew leads to ensure task completion.
- Order and manage necessary parts and equipment.
- Conduct modifications on aircraft components such as radiators and tanks.
- Participate in daily tailgate meetings to outline tasks and priorities.
- Install and modify parts based on detailed drawings.
- Perform inspections, grinding, and blending to address corrosion and damage.
- Work closely with leads and managers to strategize repair methods.
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements for processes.
- Engage in physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and working on the floor.
Essential Skills
- 8+ years of experience in MRO/AMO and heavy modifications.
- Proficiency in English reading and writing.
- Experience with heavy C-checks.
- Ownership of personal tools.
- Familiarity with aviation structures and sheet metal work.

Work Environment
Work in a team of approximately 30 people, with shifts running two weeks on and one week off. Expect to work 10-hour days, with potential overtime available. The work schedule is flexible, accommodating both morning and afternoon shifts. Enjoy the use of company vehicles for transportation to and from the site. The work environment is collaborative, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

This is a Contract position based out of Port Alberni, British Columbia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
