Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Disassemble landing gear.
- Identify and tag parts.
- Clean and blast parts using chemical cleaners, power washer and various media such as walnut shell, plastic, and baking soda.
- Read and interpret component maintenance manuals (CMMs)
- Document work performed.
- Communicate and work with other departments.
- Maintain an organized workspace.
- May occasionally be required to work overtime including morning shift or weekends as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Train incoming new hires.
- Assist the Manager in delegating work duties to the team to ensure all tasks, safety criteria, and goals are met.
- Provide guidance to team members.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working in aviation maintenance
- High School Diploma or an equivalent
Abilities and Skills:
- Proficient in the English Language; writing, reading and speaking.
Writing/reading comprehension.
Ability to recognize current or future problems.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge of how to teardown and blast a landing gear.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to properly wear respirators and pass FIT testing.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Bend, twist, stretch or reach with body, arms and/or legs.
- Manual dexterity
- Finger dexterity
- Arm-hand steadiness
- Near vision
- Multi-limb coordination
- This position is safety sensitive and adheres to DOT drug and alcohol regulations.
- Must Successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
