Job Description:
Flight Operations Manager needed for a rapidly growing charter company.  BellAir's ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and has superb time-management skills that will enhance our world class culture.  The manager role will support employee development programs and training.  As flight operations manager, you will oversee the operations team to ensure safety protocols are at the forefront of each policy.  Your will be responsible for maintaining financial responsibility in decision making processes.  The company wants an innovative thinker who can add to our leadership and incorporate best-in-class practices. 
 
You will report directly to the Director of Operation.  Our fleet includes multiple Citation Jets (CJ series), Excel, Multiple Lear 60, King Air 350, two Citation Encore, Citation X, Hawker 400XP,  and two Hawker 800XP joining the fleet late 2021.  BellAir intends to double its fleet size in 2022 with additional Citation X and Hawker aircraft.  
 
The job requires to work at our home office in Raleigh, N.C. 
Job Requirements:
Duties/responsibilities:
-Managing the Crew and Operation teams schedules.
-Overall management of the Operations team including establishing procedures 
-Responsible for coordinating charter flights in accordance with FAR 135 requirements for BellAir’s domestic and international charter operations.
-Responsible for company compliance with FAA regulations and policies as applicable to the flight dispatch of company aircraft.
-Provide charter coordination services encompassing all aircraft and aircrew related support during charter operations.  
-Coordinates with the Pilot-in-Command to determine the suitability of weather, airfield and traffic conditions, and is jointly responsible for the safe operation of each flight.
-Insight into any operational issues that may affect the completion of a successful flight to our clients, and the ability to effectively communicate information
to all parties involved.
-Secure civil landing and commercial over-flight clearances for all domestic and international flight operations.  Arranges diplomatic over-flight and landing
clearances for charger flights as required.
-Responsible for arranging aircraft ground handling and fuel on-load / services and coordinates cargo on-load/off-load at departure, en route, and recover locations.
-Coordinates customs and immigration at en route destinations.  Files required General Declaration paperwork.
-Review NOTAMs, weather, and all conditions affecting the route of flight under the dispatcher’s control.  Prepares the Aircraft Flight Release considering the weather, required fuel loads, cargo/passenger payloads, aircraft airworthiness, and routing strategy for all aircraft under the Company’s operation control.
-Participate in shift turnover and conveys critical information and/or changes that may impact flight operations including current and forecast weather conditions, Air Traffic Control (ATC) delays, maintenance deferrals, or deteriorating airport conditions, inoperative NAVAIDS, ground support equipment, crew duty limitations, and potential contingency diversionary plans.
-Ability to learn computer programs necessary to perform job duties, such as Jet Insight.
-Communicating with maintenance and crew regarding scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
-Familiarity with abbreviations used by major airports.
 
Qualifications:
-Prefer minimum of 3 years experience as a flight coordinator/scheduler in similar business.
-Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
-Must be available for 12hr shifts to include days, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
