What Will You Be Doing?
The Manager, Maintenance Control reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Maintenance Control. The Manager serves as authority when making operational decisions and provides consistent communication and coordination with System Operations Control (SOC), Line Maintenance and Heavy Maintenance personnel and leadership, Engineering, Inspection and Purchasing to maintain a seamless daily operation while maintaining the highest degree of safety. The Manager, Maintenance Control will also act on the companys behalf with authority to discipline, discharge (in extenuating circumstances), or recommend same when company policy/procedure or established practices have been violated. Will also maintain the authority to “ground” any aircraft when deemed absolutely necessary.
Essential Functions
The Manager, Mtce Control is responsible for the daily operation of Maintenance Control during their respective shift ensuring the continuous and safe operation of company aircraft during scheduled service. Oversee and maintain adequate staffing levels necessary to maintain efficient daily operations. Responsible for the oversight of all Maintenance Control personnel on duty, efficiently managing all daily activities. Possess the authority to approve overtime, establish, or delegate responsibilities and assignments or create policy and/or procedures. Exercise financial decisions regarding the recovery of AOG aircraft or maintained continued operations up to and including purchasing of parts, charters, third party maintenance vendors, or any other relevant situation. These duties also include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Continually design/implement action plans to reduce maintenance related delays and cancellations.
- Create/administer/manage the departments work schedules including managing/approving vacations, monitoring sick time and absences, including payroll processing.
- Maintain department goals, performance objectives and training (including recurrent training) of all Maintenance Control personnel.
- Single point of contact for the Sr Manager, Maintenance Control and Director, Maintenance regarding daily operations.
- Effectively monitor and manage the MEL/CDL/NEF process for accuracy.
- Maintain all One Time On-Call Maintenance documentation for each event, including all FMIS entries as required.
- Ensure the requirements of On-Call and One Time On-Call Maintenance are performed per the requirements of this manual.
- Review and control the retention of One Time On-Call Form 30189 and associated documents for 30 days as referenced in the Maintenance Control Standard Operating Manual.
- Ensure timely audits of all completed overnight work documents and facilitate timely corrections of all noted errors as required.
- Verify all FMIS Entries are correctly entered or make corrections as required.
- Administer and manage all departmental self-audits.
- If so directed, participate in the Reliability Board Meeting.
- Complete in a timely manner all other duties assigned by the Sr Manager, Mtce Control or higher.
Qualifications
- FAA Certificated Mechanic possessing Airframe and Powerplant ratings
- Minimum 5 years of combined Line Maintenance and/or Heavy Maintenance experience
- Minimum 2 years of Maintenance Control experience
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role in the Maintenance Operations environment
- Four year college degree - preferred
- FCC Radio License - preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven leadership, motivational and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of the Airbus A320 family aircraft
- Demonstrated knowledge of airline maintenance operations
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and administer/delegate responsibilities to subordinates as required
- Must successfully complete all company required training
- Must demonstrate behavior that demonstrates the companys core values

Maintenance Control Coordinator(s)
Salary Range: $100,104-$132,870
Signing Bonus: Full time new hires who start 11/15/2024 through 3/31/2025 will be eligible for a signing bonus of $10,000 after (90) days of employment (minus applicable taxes and withholdings). You agree that if you voluntarily end your employment with Frontier Airlines, Inc. or are terminated for cause within twelve (12) months of your start date, you will repay a pro-rate share of the signing bonus for – 1/12 of the total bonus amount per month remaining in the term.

*In addition to your base salary, you will be eligible to earn an annual cash performance bonus, at the discretion of Frontiers Board of Directors or one of such boards committees, based on the attainment of performance metrics for Frontier and/or individual performance objectives, in each case established and evaluated by such board or one of its committees. Your target annual bonus will be (10) of your base salary, but the actual amount of your annual bonus may range (0 - 20) of your base salary.
