Prime Air is seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager to drive the delivery of a critical program that includes teams across disciplines. This role requires excellent leadership skills to build trust and drive alignment.

The desired candidate will possess a program management background, have demonstrated experience leading large-scale development efforts, and be able to operate in ambiguous and technically complex spaces.

Key job responsibilities
  • Drive the delivery of new capabilities for Prime Air across teams through design, development and test.
  • Own and drive software/hardware milestone tracking and implementation, dependency mapping, and integrated scheduling.
  • Work with TPMs and technical leads to create, implement, and drive processes that improve execution and communication.
  • Remove blockers to help integrated programs move faster and identify/implement opportunities to accelerate on the critical path

Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in technical and program management
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor Degree in engineering or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in engineering, business administration or a related discipline
  • Engineering experience in the development of autonomous systems
  • Experience working on aerospace products / projects
