Job Description:
The Sr. Logistics Manager serves as the organizational Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSE) . Manages task assignments effectively so that all project requirements and milestones are met within the allocated budgets and schedules. Responsible for interfacing with the leadership team to develop and execute the strategic vision for the organization’s and customer’s IPSEs  focused logistics functions.
  • Oversee Property Management / Logistics Team to ensure sites are regularly inspected, requirements are being met, and random audits are being performed.
  • Manages the use and implementation of enterprise Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) solution.
  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues, minimize risk, protect the continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities.
  • Review Statements of Work (SOWs) for accurate product requirements and provide feedback as needed to ensure all contractual obligations are clearly defined.
  • Perform all necessary actions required to meet customer requirements and expectations detailed in the SOW.
  • Effectively communicate source data requirements needed for development of Logistics / Provisioning products detailed in the SOW.
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies, competitive positioning, and continuously improve sourcing processes.
  • Ensure that Property / Logistics Team is interfacing, coordinating and approving Outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS) shipments
  • Ensure all shipping & receiving activities are conducted in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Participate in development of negotiation strategies that delivers against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Create metrics related to supplier performance, department performance, cost reduction projects, ERP systems utilization, and MRP system / item master file data integrity.
  • Create strategies, policies, processes and systems that will assure compliance with FAR, DFAR, FAA, Federal procurement regulations, and commercial aviation requirements.
  • Drive understanding and compliance of DoD, DFAR and ITAR requirements to suppliers
  • Implement strategies for maximizing the value achieved for internal business customers, and provide leadership and expertise in market analysis, supplier management, negotiation, project management, and facilitation of process improvement.
  • Conduct final reviews of all Logistics Analysis / Provisioning products prior to delivery to ensure that all standards, to include organizational quality standards, and requirements are met.
  • This job will have direct reports and supervisory responsibilities. This position supervises employees on a daily basis. This position has the authority to carry out assigned tasks and appropriately delegate responsibility.
  •  Expert knowledge of DoD and military services product support management and IPSE implementation and execution.
  •  Expert knowledge of implementing, executing and managing contractor logistics support for DoD weapon systems and platforms.  
  •  Professional attitude and demeanor; problem-solving and prioritization skills; ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations for problem resolution.
  •  Ability to read and interpret documents such as military regulations and standards, DoD instructions/ policy and guidance, work instructions, process maps, and procedure manuals.
  •  Ability to create custom reports and perform data analysis.
  •  Interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external stakeholders such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc. Must always represent the company in a professional manner.

  •  Professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.

  •  A Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience; or logistics business discipline experience with a minimum of 25 years of relevant experience.
  •  Minimum of ten (10) years’ supervisory experience in a purchasing, supply chain or program management role.
  •  Minimum of Ten (10) years’ experience in aircraft CLS
  •  Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in supporting OCONUS logistics support/operations preferred
  •  Experience with supporting Military Fixed Wing Contractor Logistics Support and operations; to include experience in acquisition and logistics support for fixed wing & rotary wing aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems and missile systems.  
  •  Recent experience with inventory management and planning software
  •  Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) of aircraft preferred
  •  ISO9000 and AS9100 environment preferred.
  •  Active Secret Clearance
  •  Ability to pass a drug and background screening
