Job Description:
This position requires working knowledge of aircraft parts purchasing, inventory control, and shipping/receiving operations utilizing MRO systems such as Corridor, EBIS, and others. Must have the proven ability to anticipate and adapt to changing priorities, driving the Parts and Shipping/Receiving Teams and responsibilities to include, but are not limited to procurement, organization/distribution of parts/materials, receiving inspection, processing of cores, management of parts inventory, coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, and oversight of warehouse operations.

Essential duties
  • Ensure overall profitability and performance of the parts and shipping/receiving departments.
  • Ensure conformity with FAA regulatory requirements (Calibration, certification, shelf life, parts quarantine).
  • Responsible for inventory management and control, including core and warranty procedures.
  • Oversee and mentor parts and shipping/receiving team.
  • Perform initial training of new parts and shipping/receiving personnel and recurrent training as required to ensure all duties and responsibilities are properly carried out.
  • Prepare summary reports as to progress, purchase commitments, and miscellaneous recommendations.
  • Implementation of internal programs, e.g., communications, training, work simplification, and cost reduction for the parts and shipping/receiving departments.
  • Maintain conformity with work rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with sourcing parts requested by technicians and customers (internal & external).
  • Assist with searching OEMs and independent part sources for certified and traceable products.
  • Establish/maintain relationships with vendors to ensure that we obtain the best pricing and highest quality service.
  • Monitor outside services to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Perform receiving inspection of parts and materials to ensure conformity with FAA regulations and customer requirements, ensuring that no unapproved parts go undetected.
  • Creation, tracking, and receipt of purchase orders placed with vendors.
  • Coordinate shipping on outside work requests
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, proper packaging, and timely delivery.
  • Manage and maintain the shipping/receiving area to ensure organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, resolving any discrepancies with vendors.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics providers to ensure cost-effective and timely shipping solutions.
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of all hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Work within the repair station manual guidelines to maintain certified and traceable parts.
  • Coordinate part status with requesting technician/customer.
  • Process and maintain all records pertaining to each requisition.
  • Research and maintain stock requirements.
  • Perform periodic review of all calibrated precision test equipment used by the repair station and mechanics that have their own precision equipment.
  • Perform receiving inspection of all calibrated precision test equipment upon completion of calibration and notify the Chief Inspector of any discrepancies.
  • Process core returns to vendors.
  • Perform regular inventory, cycle counts and maintain min/max requirements.
  • Ensure accurate assignment and proper billing of parts to work orders.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by the GM/Accountable Manager.
qualifications (experience & education)
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Bachelors degree preferred
    • Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills in the English language
    • Must have at least 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement and/or shipping/receiving, preferably in an MRO or aviation environment
    • Familiarity with Corridor software
    • Ability to manage high stress situations, and effectively change priorities
    • Excellent time management and organization skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Must be proficient in the operation of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    Drivers License with no major infractions required
