Position Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor leads, coaches, and supervises maintenance contract personnel to ensures that they are properly trained and qualified in performance of their duties to company standards in the current fleet operating at their stations. Supervisors are responsible for the safety of themselves, employees, equipment.  Ensure that the work environment operates within the current CBA and HAL house policies.  Supervisors will investigate accidents reported to them in accordance with company policy and procedures.  
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises staff to ensure that all maintenance work is done in accordance with the manufacturer’s manual, FAA, & Hawaiian Airlines (HAL) Specifications and Standards. Ensures that the staff is meeting all HAL General Maintenance Manual (GMM) requirements
  • Coordinate for staffing, materials, equipment, and tools for both scheduled and unscheduled station tasks. Provide interface between HAL planning and station maintenance staff to ensure all of the planned maintenance objectives are met and accomplished in a timely manner
  • Act as the station focal point of all HAL technical and engineering requests and clarifications
  • Communicate with HAL Maintenance Control and upper management in regard to status of an aircraft out of service, estimated time of return to service, and complete delay report if required
  • Provide oversight of the Staff including auditing of aircraft documents for Accuracy and Completeness. Monitor proper TRAX entries by staff. Take part in the stations compliance with the CASS program and perform the monthly “Station Audits” in accordance with HAL GMM policies and procedures
  • Oversees the staff for material handling of HAL parts, tooling, and equipment at the station, to include parts transactions in TRAX
  • Be able to manage contract staff operating under the current CBA and HAL house policies
  • Manage staff hours, vacation, and training as required
  • Track and manage Ultipro hours and coding
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid Airframe and Power Plant License
  • Valid Driver’s License & Passport
  • 5 years aircraft maintenance experience in commercial aviation
  • 3 years in Line Maintenance experience on wide body aircraft
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good verbal skill
** DOT regulations, 14 CFR part 120 identifies this position as performing safety-sensitive functions. You will be required to undergo DOT pre-employment drug testing to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, PCP (Phencyclidine) and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into this position.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • ETOPS experience
  • System knowledge of Boeing B787, Airbus A330 and A321 aircraft
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make sound action and judgment
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and trouble shoot A/C systems including and avionics
  • Computer skills in Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in TRAX desired
