Job Title: Aircraft Assembly Technician
Job Description

Perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
  • Model a culture of One Team, Pride, and Ownership.
  • Partner with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leader to mitigate performance risk utilizing Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies.
  • Identify roadblocks and production constraints, escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.
  • Use KPI and BPS principles to improve production flow and work environment.
  • Support overtime as required to meet customer commitments.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities.
  • Support teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross-training and mentoring.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
  • Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
  • Preferred - 1 Year Aerospace experience.
  • Experience with aircraft assembly, drill, shim, rework, assembly, riveting, rivet guns, and aircraft interiors.
  • A&P license is a plus.

Work Environment

Variable shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM. Physical demands include flexion/extension of the head, handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, standing, twisting at the waist, and walking. Tasks may involve climbing/balancing on stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces, crawling, and crouching. The ability to carry/lift up to 35 pounds is required. The role involves handling, using, and disposing of hazardous materials. Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment, which may include on-the-job training or formal classroom training. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
