Airship Mechanic – Join the Goodyear Blimp Crew

Goodyear is looking for a licensed A&P Mechanic to join our Airship Operations team, a tight-knit crew that travels across the country supporting the legendary Goodyear Blimp. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives on adventure, teamwork, and technical precision.
As an Airship Mechanic, you’ll maintain, inspect, and support our airship fleet both at base and on the road, ensuring safe and smooth operations for one of the most unique aircraft in the world.
What You’ll Do
- Work side by side with the airship crew to keep operations running seamlessly both at home base and while traveling (around 100 days of traveling)
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance in compliance with FAA and manufacturer standards, maintaining all required records and documentation
- Troubleshoot and adjust airship control systems using maintenance software tools and schematics
- Support maintenance of ground equipment, including hydraulic power packs, maintenance platforms, and towing vehicles
- Participate in flight operations, assisting with landings, take-offs, and hangar movements, often at heights of 80+ feet and in tight, enclosed spaces
- Handle essential airship support tasks such as fueling, cleaning, adding helium, and driving company support vehicles
- Perform ground operations as directed by the Crew Chief
- Represent the Goodyear Blimp program to the public and media with professionalism and pride
