The position is for nine months, with the possibility of summer school teaching in an adjunct capacity. Classes and other responsibilities are conducted primarily weekdays but will include some evening classes and independent studies. Attendance will also be required at some evening and weekend events. Options for flight training and check pilot exist. This position is mid-August through early May with the exception of scheduled vacation and paid holidays in accordance with the Faculty Staff Handbook.
Responsibilities:
- Teach the next generation of Christian aviation professionals.
- Prepare course materials and assessments.
- Maintain an understanding of current technologies applicable to the courses being taught
- Provide leadership in the development and improvement of the courses.
- Serve as an academic advisor to aviation students.
- Actively pursue relationships with students, faculty, and staff encouraging the accomplishment of the purpose and mission of LeTourneau University and the School of Aeronautical Science.
- Participate in college activities related to a faculty position.
