:
The Cargo Coordinator KIN reports to the Regional Cargo Operations Manager. This position is based in Jamaica. The successful incumbent will be responsible for directing and monitoring the timely and efficient movement of cargo, mail, and courier operations via passenger flights and freighter flights. The Cargo Coordinator KIN will provide oversight and work in conjunction with the Ground Handling Agent to ensure that contracted operational services are provided in keeping with the standards as outlined in the Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The Cargo Coordinator KIN is also responsible for ensuring station compliance with regulatory authorities. This is a fixed-term (contract) position.

- OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Utilizes assigned resources effectively and efficiently to achieve operational objectives and customer delivery standards.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE: Seeks to satisfy and delight customers by exceeding their expectations, meeting requests, and resolving queries and complaints in a professional, results-oriented and timely manner.
- SAFETY AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Executes corporate safety, security, and quality policies to achieve full compliance and ensures that all stakeholders meet all regulatory requirements as well as operational and quality standards.
- REPORTING: Achieves the completion and timely delivery of accurate operational reports together with all other relevant reports to support effective data analysis and decision making.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
You must possess a minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC/GCE Ordinary Level Passes, including Mathematics and English, and be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
You are required to have at least three (3) years’ experience in an operations and sales function in a cargo/logistics environment, preferably in the airline industry, and have knowledge of cargo reservations system (in particular Cargospot). In-depth knowledge of cargo operations and procedures along with experience in sales and spaneting are essential. Certification in Lean Six Sigma Green belt will also be considered an asset.
You must exhibit a strong customer orientation while focusing on profitability and productivity. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must possess strong influencing skills, leadership ability and an innovative mindset. Knowledge of customs operations, IATA, FAA, FDA, TSA, TTCAA and/or any other regulatory requirement framework would be preferred. Supervisory experience will be regarded as an asset.
You will be employed on a shift basis. Each working week comprises various shifts in accordance with the rotational requirements of the Cargo Department for that week to meet business demands as approved by the Company’s duly authorised manager.
