Job Description
As a Repair Technician, you will perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers. You will manage the warehouse and oversee material movement. Your duties will include patching holes, deriveting and riveting cargo containers, and ensuring containers are clean and free from defects that could affect operation or performance. You will also respond to technical assistance requests, provide training and demonstrations on CSafe FAA approved Active Systems, and document all work performed using CATS and CSafe WO systems. Additionally, you will monitor the stock of spare parts, facilitate the pick-up and drop-off of RKNs from/to customers, and maintain the repair facility in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers.
- Manage warehouse operations and oversee material movement.
- Patch holes and perform deriveting and riveting on cargo containers.
- Ensure containers are clean and free from operational defects.
- Respond to technical assistance requests from customers.
- Provide training and demonstrations of CSafe FAA approved Active Systems.
- Document all work performed using CATS and CSafe WO systems.
- Monitor stock levels of spare parts.
- Pick up and drop off RKNs from/to customers.
- Maintain the repair facility in a clean and safe condition.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
- Experience in assembly or repair.
- Structural repair and sheet metal skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
- Experience in HVAC or construction is advantageous.
- Connection to aviation and Part 145 experience is a plus.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Prior military experience is beneficial.

- Mechanical experience beyond assembly line work.

Work Environment
This is a repair facility located at ORD. The warehouse is very clean, although not temperature controlled. The position operates during the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
