Corporate Aircraft experience
Responsible for, but not limited to:
Prepares surfaces to be painted by cleaning, masking and sanding. Applies chemical paint stripping solution with spray gun or brush. Removes paint stripper using pressure washer. Mix and apply primers/paints according to specification as required. Placard installation using aircraft tech data. Stores, handles, uses, and disposes of hazardous chemicals in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Environmental Protection Laws. Maintains a clean work environment tooling and equipment. Painter III: Stripe, registration and logo layout and application from drawings and prints.
Provide guidance and training to more junior members of the department. Perform other duties as assigned.
Must understand the tools, equipment, prep, painting & layout procedures without supervision to include but not limited to:Understands regional, commercial and corporate aircraftsAble to read & understand blue printsPrep Work- Covering aircraft as needed for each processSanding, striping, etching, alodine, water break testing.Know paint & chemical mixing.Understands formulas, color charts & viscometer.
