Assistant Chief Flight Instructor

The Department of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University is seeking qualified applicants for a 12 month clinical-track faculty position, to serve as Assistant Chief Instructor at the University’s Part 141 Flight School. The position can be filled at any time during the academic year.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide flight instruction and related administrative support to students in the Professional Pilot concentration at the Flight School.
Bachelor’s degree by appointment date. Applicants must have a minimum 200 hours of dual flight instruction given and possess a Commercial SEL and MEL certificate, and a valid Certified Flight Instructor and Instrument Instructor Certificate. Applicants must also possess a valid Second Class FAA Medical Certificate.
Applicants who possess a Multi-engine Instructor Certificate, as well as those with higher than the minimum requirements of dual flight instruction will receive special consideration.
