Job Description:
  • Instruct undergraduate flight lab courses in aviation technology

  • Mentor students and instructors
  • Supervise night and Sunday flight activities
  • Participate in projects and assignments at the discretion of the Chief Flight Instructor

Job Requirements:
  • Applicants must possess an earned Bachelor’s degree at time of hire, or completed within one year of hire, in aviation and transportation technology or related field
  • Must have at least 500 hours of total flight time and 200 hours of dual instruction given, or equivalent teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience
  • Must have demonstrated ability to teach, manage a classroom and course
  • Applicants must possess a current FAA issued Flight Instructor Certificate with an instrument rating (CFII), Multi engine instructor rating is preferred, and at least a third class medical. 
  • An instructor who meets the flight time qualifications of FAA CFR 141.36(d) is preferred. 
  • Candidates must have the ability to work in the US without immigration sponsorship from Purdue University.
Salary Range: 58,000-65,000
