Multiple platform IP's required

Responsible for performing duties as an Instructor Pilot in the AH-6i aircraft and supporting simulation devices. Conducts initial ATP integration, continuation training, and evaluation of employee and customer crewmembers in accordance with US Army Aviation Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) requirements. Conducts academic and hands-on performance training and administer evaluations to ensure aircrew proficiency and standardization of training. Responsible for maintaining Individual Aircrew Training Folder, (IATF) and completing required training, currency, and readiness entries. Conducts AH-6i instruction in a classroom environment; provides flight instruction in the aircraft and flight training devices; providing contact, basic instrument, and basic combat skills training to Army standards IAW government approved ATM. Instruction may include any combination of Individual or Group instruction in an academic classroom environment and or aircraft or simulator. Additionally, It is preferred that applicant have experience in mission (Attack, Observation, Utility, Multi Mission etc…) operations and must have completed a course of instruction for IPs at an authorized Aviation Proponent School.
 
Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:


Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent; Must have been qualified as a Pilot in Command. Graduate of the OH-58D, AH-64 Instructor Pilot Course (IPC)/Methods of Instruction (MOI) course at an authorized Aviation Proponent School or an IP equivalency evaluation administered by a standardization instructor pilot (SP) selected by the Directorate of Evaluations and Standardization (DES) required or equivalent. Graduate of the USAACE master gunner qualification course preferred. FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instructor Pilot certificate (CFI) or equivalent required (GACA). FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instrument Pilot certificate (CFII) preferred.
Experience: Experience in Attack/Scout helicopter mission required. Minimum of 1500 total flight hours required. Minimum of 300 Instructor Pilot flight hours in a Single Turbine engine aircraft preferred. Minimum of 250 Night Vision Goggle (NVG) hours required. Combat experience preferred. Instructor pilot experience at an USAACE approved school of instruction preferred.
 
Specific knowledge, skill, and ability: Must possess and maintain an FAA Class II flight physical or GACA equivalent. Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics. Ability to communicate both orally and written in English. Ability to effectively deal with people in the coordination of staff and team members. Ability to communicate effectively with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possesses a valid driver’s license. Chief of MNG-Aviation may waive any or all of the above minimum qualifications.
