The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), is located in Anchorage. The attractive wooded campus, at the foot of the Chugach Mountains,

moose, waterfowl, and birds. UAA offers programs and services through eight schools and colleges and three community campuses located in South-central Alaska.
The UAA, Community and Technical College (CTC) offers career and technical education programs that are closely aligned with Alaska’s core industries and includes Aviation Technology.
The Aviation Technology Division (ATD) is a component of UAA’s CTC, and is located at the Aviation Technology Complex on Merrill Field Airport – approximately two miles north of the UAA campus.
The mission of the ATD is to enhance, promote, and provide quality aviation education, research, and service worldwide. ATD programs provide the technical competency, depth of knowledge and skills to compete effectively in today’s job environment. Students prepare for career pathways in the Aviation Industry for five academic programs of study including Aviation
Maintenance Technology, Aviation Administration, Air Traffic Control, Professional Piloting, and an Aviation minor.
In addition to providing quality aviation education, the ATD is also responsible for carrying out aviation-related contracts, research, and responding to non-traditional training requirements in the Aviation field.
