In this role, you will be providing exceptional service and support for our current fleet of 2 MD 500 helicopters as well as our new fleet of Airbus H130 T2's (set for spring 2025 delivery). Maintain airworthiness of Helicopters.
Conduct inspections on helicopters as required by Manufacturers and FAA including all inspections.

Track cycles up and down on aircraft.

Responsible for adhering to General Health and Safety Regulations and Company Policies and Procedures.

AS350B3/H125 Mechanic

Superior Helicopter Services, LLC has an immediate position available for a Helicopter A&P Mechanic to join our growing family-owned business. The position is for AS-350B3e/H125 field maintenance/fire contracts. This position would require travel and a 12-12 Schedule in support of mission/contract requirements.

Inspection and repair of helicopter and components to be maintained with the FAR's, manufacturer's programs, and company policies.

A&P Mechanic

Must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of FAR regulations.
Ability to routinely perform Annual/Manufacture's inspections as well as other scheduled and unscheduled maintenance items in remote field environments.
Removal, re-installation and replacement of major components such as main rotor and tail rotor blades, engines, main transmissions, tail rotor gear boxes, main rotor and tail rotor hub assemblies.
Main and tail rotor track and balance.
Component inspection, repair and overhaul.
USFS/DOI contract coverage as mechanic
Field travel will be required.

Qualifications/Licenses

FAA A&P Certificate issued at least 12 months prior to application date.
Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement. (Due to Truck and fuel trailer Combo)

Required Skills/Experience

Previous work with a Part 133, and/or 135 operator.
Ability to obtain a USFS/ DOI mechanic card for Airbus As350B3e/H125.
At least 12 months experience as an A&P mechanic maintaining helicopters.
At least 12 months experience on the same make and model or completed manufacture's maintenance course.
The ability to work in a team environment with a good attitude as well as independently.

Preferred Skills/Experience

USFS/DOI Carded with Airbus AS350B3/H125 models.
Documented factory training on any of the above-mentioned airframes and/or engine training.

A&P Mechanic Helicopter - Full-Time/Seasonal

The Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic maintains the airframe and engines of aircraft to meet FAA and Manufacturer standards. The position will support aircraft for utility and powerline work, US Forest Service Contracts, CALFIRE, and other contracts as needed. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and will perform the duties of a licensed A&P Mechanic on Bell 407/212 airframes. The position requires confidence in and around helicopter operations, maintaining alertness to multiple concurrent activities, excellent communication, and a commitment to safe and conscientious commercial motor vehicle operations.

This position will also require operating commercial motor vehicles transporting hazardous materials performing duties as the fuel truck driver and conducting field support activities for helicopter operations for utility and powerline work, US Forest Service Contracts, CALFIRE, and other contracts as assigned and needed. CDL Class C, hazmat and tanker endorsement required.

Experience and proficiency in the following major areas:

Extensive experience in Bell Helicopter 407/212 airframe maintenance
Experienced in shop and field maintenance operations
Knowledgeable of the Federal Aviation Regulations
Possess sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experienced in safely operating trucks with Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWR) up to and over 26,000 lbs.
Knowledge of state and federal road regulations and laws
Proficient computer skills
Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities
Strong observational skills and must be detail-oriented

Entry Level / Other Experience:

Must already be local to our area or be willing to relocate. Shall be consider case-by-case basis, compensation negotiated.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and alterations in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), company policies, and procedures, in a timely manner, with a high standard of safety and quality
Carry out maintenance updates on different components and accessories of aircraft
Conduct regular maintenance tests and checks to ensure all components are working at full capacity
Install replacement parts in the aircraft that are faulty or damaged
Create inventories of supplies, materials, and equipment
Maintain repair logs and other documents such as reports of fixed and replaced aircraft components

Maintain state-issued Class C Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
Safely and conscientiously utilize and operate all fleet trucks, vehicles, and equipment, observing all law and industry standards of operation and use to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities
Drive trucks transporting hazardous materials
Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean inside and outside and maintained accordingly
Support aircraft for powerline work, fire contracts, and other contracts as required through refueling aircraft, hooking and removing long lines, and other ground support duties as assigned
Track fuel quantities and order when needed
Under the direction of the Fleet Manager, support the truck and vehicle fleet to maintain road and field use readiness
Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
Service and maintain company equipment as directed and notify managers of any major maintenance or issues encountered
Comply with DOT regulations
Comply with company Employee Manual, GOM, SMS, SOP’s, and Ops Specs
Participate in out-of-town travel, work, and overtime work, as required
Must be self-motivated, disciplined, dependable, and resourceful, with a can-do attitude
Actively participate in the company SMS program
Make safety a priority at all times
