A.Overview

B.General
The Controller is expected to manage and oversee the Company’s finance, accounting, treasury, payroll, and audit needs. Controller makes recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer on matters of finance and accounting policy, procedures, and processes that are applicable to all areas of the Company and acts as counselor on administrative matters of the Company. He/she must be able to act concisely and with conviction using clear written and verbal communication skills while interacting with all levels of the Company. From time to time, the Controller may be called upon to step in and represent the CFO in various working groups and/or working with other members of senior management. He or she must exercise good judgment, have excellent decision-making skills, and be able to confidently handle the Company’s present and future needs within his or her area of responsibility without reservation.

C.Duties and Responsibilities:
·Oversees all accounting operations including, but not limited to, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Treasury;
·Ensures quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting at all times;
·Oversees the preparation of, and submits for final approval by the CFO, timely monthly financial statements;
·Ensures the accuracy of all Company financial transactions including accurate and timely employee and contractor payrolls, bill payment; and customer revenue collection;
·Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
·Coordinates the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensures timely submission; 
·Manages and oversees compliance with local,state, and federal government tax reporting requirements and works with the Company’s tax accountant to support completion of appropriate tax filings;
·Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts; reports relevant variances for the Company to senior management;
·Works directly with departments and department heads to develop capital and non-capital plan expense budgets;
·Acts as the Company’s primary point of contact for the Company’s Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or payroll provider to ensure Federal and State payroll
  processing guidelines are being met;
·Acts as primary point of contact for the Company’s external or internal auditors;
·Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates finance and accounting department staff members;
·Ensures integrity of the Company’s financial data in the ERP system(s) and works with Information Systems to maintain systems/backups as appropriate;
·Handles the Company’s Insurance risk product needs when requested by the CFO/CEO, i.e. D&O, EPLI, Workers Comp, General Liability, Aircraft Hull and Liability, etc. and coordinates with the Company’s broker;
·Works with FP&A to provide history and/or financial statements as requested for use in their analyses;
·Establishes credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver;
·Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates department staff members;
·Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed and/or assigned by CFO and/or CEO.
Job Requirements:
·Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required and MBA is preferred
·Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
·Must have excellent leadership, organizational skills and experience
·Must have at least five (5) years or more in Accounting, Finance, or Treasury preferably airline industry  related.
·Operations experience in the airline or aviation related industry preferred but not required
·Must have minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related discipline from  accredited college
·Pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
.Must have Expert level skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Salary Range: $115,000 -$120,000 annual
Relocation: As needed
