Our growing company is actively seeking an Avionics Technician to join our team. In this role, you will service corporate aircraft in accordance with current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Our technician's install, test and adjust avionics equipment including but not limited to radar, radio, pulse, navigation, autopilot, entertainment, instrumentation, electrical and compass systems. In this role, your willingness to work in small confined spaces and individually as well as in a team environment is embraced and encouraged.
Job Requirements:

As an Avionics Technician, you will also be responsible for:

  • Evaluating components of avionics systems/equipment for defects.

  • Testing avionic equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness using associated test equipment.

  • Troubleshooting avionic and airframe systems and equipment to isolate defective component. Removing and replacing defective components in accordance with manufacturer technical documentation or aircraft maintenance manuals.

  • Retrofitting avionic and airframe systems in accordance with avionic manufacturer's specifications, aircraft manufacturer's service bulletins, and FAA guidelines.

  • Testing and calibrating newly installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.

  • Accompanying flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments and tests to determine operational status of avionic/airframe systems.

  • Removing and installing aircraft interior components to gain access in order to complete repairs.

  • Testing and deep cycle aircraft batteries in accordance with manufacturer's specifications using proper test equipment.

  • Inspecting and returning to service avionic and airframe systems with respect to work performed.

To perform successfully as an Avionics Technician, we are looking for the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Three (3) years' experience in a similar/related position or equivalent experience as a technician troubleshooting and repairing various Avionic and airframe systems.

  • FCC license strongly preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of avionic technology with specific knowledge in the primary avionics systems; equivalent up to three (3) years of technical training.

  • Completion of applicable repair station "Inspector" classroom training and written test.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical literature and manuals.
