Shipping and Receiving Technician

The Shipping and Receiving Tech administers the stock control plan ensuring continual accountability of government and company property in accordance with applicable government regulations or corporate policy. They order, receive, store, maintain and issue supplies and equipment to support the daily program operations and tight timelines that meet customer’s needs to both CONUS and OCONUS locations. Serves as a Mentor providing On The Job Training (OJT) and mentoring to Afghan personnel to assist in building Organic Afghan Capability.
•Coordinates logistics activities between end user, government, and vendors.
•Coordinates the delivery of material and schedules customer repairs.
•Coordinates warehouse shipping, receiving, and material handling.
•Assist in ensuring contract provisions are met.
•Perform location survey and inventory procedures.
•Conducts the physical counting of inventory items.
•Researches and resolves inventory and/or system problems.
•Receives, inspects, documents, inventories, stores, ships and accounts for aviation spare parts and repairable items.
•Ensures timely and accurate receipt and delivery of spare parts and repair of repairables.
•Insures information is entered completely and accurately into the Logistics Information Management System.
•Receives and delivers materiel to the airfield or freight forwarders’ facility.
•Operates material handling equipment and vehicles as required.
•Conducts cyclic and annual inventories to insure accountability of CLS program spare parts and repairs.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
•Integrate Afghan personnel into a Hybrid CLS environment.
•Mentor and provide OJT to assigned Afghan personnel.
•Support and communicates the mission, values and culture of ARMA Aviation.
Experience and Abilities
•Four (4) plus years’ experience in Logistics, Warehouse, or Supply Chain management and operations;
•Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills with ability to multi task.
•Strong interpersonal skills; enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and can train and lead others.
•Detail oriented; focused on insuring accuracy and timeliness logistical processes, procedures and information.
•Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present information to all levels within the organization and to customers as required.
•Ability to work in a team setting.
•Ability to complete multiple time-sensitive tasks.
•Prior experience mentoring and conducting OJT.
•Self-motivated with a high level work ethic; holds self-accountable and responsible.
•High School diploma required; technical or military experience desired.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
•Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
•Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
