We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
•Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty
•Maintain and repair aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
•Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions
•Apply required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation
•Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals.
•Access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests.
•Receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks
•May make entries in aircraft logs and records.
•Required – successfully pass Sheet Metal Airframe Repair (SMAR) exam
•Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair
•Basic knowledge of electrical theory and working knowledge of technical publications.
•Thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.
•Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
•Must be willing to work overtime as required.
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.
Education and Experience:
•High School Diploma or GED
•5-10 years of airframe sheet metal repair experience.
