Gary Jet Center, Inc. is looking for motivated individual to fill a full-time position maintaining aircraft corporate class. Gary Jet Center’s Maintenance and Avionics shops operate as an FAR Part 145 Repair station with class 3 rating.  
 
Qualifications and Skills
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate, proof of previous Repairman Certificate, or relevant military experience (DD214 must be provided) with a strong avionics background.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic tools for working on aircraft. - 
  • U.S. citizenship or valid working visa.
  • Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based programs.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and regulations.
  • Willingness to work shifts outside of normal working hours including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and be subject to random drug and alcohol tests during employment.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • 3-5 years maintaining corporate class aircraft.
  • Military veteran, a bonus not required.
  • Aircraft specific training on Cessna (Citation III/650 & Citation X/750), Dassault Falcon, Hawker, Embraer, Gulfstream 280, or Bombardier business jets.
  • Helicopter/rotary wing experience a plus.
  • Supervisory or Team Leadership experience.

The Gary Jet Center is a privately owned and operated full service Fixed Base Operator located 25 minutes outside of Chicago in Northwest Indiana. Our growing mid-sized company consists of 2 Part 145 Certified Repair Stations, a Part 135 Charter Operator Certificate that currently manages 10 large jet aircraft, and a Fixed Base Operation providing fuel and hangar services.
Job Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate, proof of previous Repairman Certificate, or relevant military experience (DD214 must be provided) with a strong avionics background.
  • 3-5 years of corporate class aircraft experience
  • RII knowledgeable 
  • understanding of FAR's
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. work for extended hours standing, stooping or sitting
This position is exposed to a changing environment and will be in the elements at times, exposed to loud aircraft noise.  Will be exposed to chemicals, jet fuel and hydraulic fluids.   
Team player, open communicator, detail centric.
