Job Description:
Looking for multiple full-time Aviation Maintenance Technicians with A&P to help maintain fleet of 43 aircraft for college’s part 141 flight school located at Battle Creek Executive Airport at Kellogg Field (KBTL). Seeking AMTs with various experience and skill set levels. Compensation adjusted and dependent upon experience.  This position works as a team member performing and completing inspections, repairs and other various forms of maintenance on piston flight school aircraft. Individual will also need to be able to effectively interact with students in a learning environment.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma
  • Academic training completion through an FAA-certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician School (part 147 school) or equivalent on-the-job training (OJT)
  • Hold a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  • One year experience in general aviation inspection, repair and maintenance
Desired Qualifications
  • FAA private pilot certificate
  • Cirrus, Piper and Cessna experience
  • Lycoming and Continental Motors experience
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to physically lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand, sit, squat, kneel, lay on stomach or back and tolerate small, enclosed spaces while performing work on aircraft
  • Be vigilant of safety hazards and warnings by sight and hearing
Salary Range: Negotiable based upon experience level

Travel: Possible based upon need for remote site repair or recovery of fleet aircraft
