B. General 
 
This is a full time, FLSA exempt position responsible for Structures and Interior Specialist support at the Company in support of Technical Services which includes fleet specific structural and interior projects, maintaining these specifications for fleet specific components, providing overall structural, interior, and
engineering technical support to Aircraft Maintenance and other departments as needed. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough
knowledge and understanding of FAR Part 121 and/or FAR Par 145 requirements. Good communication skills are required, and the successful candidate must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working in a fast paced/dynamic environment.

C. Duties and Responsibilities
 
The Engineering Structures & Interior Specialist reports to the Director of Technical Services with the following duties and responsibilities:
·Coordinates and liaisons with aircraft and component manufacturers to obtain technical data and required approvals for engineering assignments;
·Helps prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required publications;
·Reviews Requests for Engineering Services, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Service Letters, and recommends engineering projects as required by those documents;
·Responds to requests for technical information and engineering data from the maintenance organization;
·Helps obtains FAA approval for aircraft modification and repair as directed by management;
·Is cognizant always of Title 14 CFR changes, modifications, configuration changes, and maintenance program requirements;
·Suggests improvements to aircraft systems, methods and procedures, and participates in reliability improvement and cost reduction programs;
·Administers the Repair Assessment Program and participates in the Structures Task Force activity;
·Interprets drawings, technical data, and Title 14 CFRs as applicable to repairs and modifications;
·Coordinates Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) engineering and modification requests and other directives to create in house Fleet Campaign Directives (FCD’s). Interfaces with operations and reliability team acting as liaisons to contract DER services;
·Reviews engineering maintenance requests, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives Service Letters and originates FCD’s as required by those documents;
·Responds to requests for technical information and engineering data from the maintenance organization;
·Suggests improvements to aircraft systems, methods and procedures. Participates in reliability improvement and cost reduction programs;
·Administers the Structural Repair Assessment Program and participate in the Structures Task Force activity (structures positions only);
·Obtains FAA approval for aircraft modification and repair as directed by Director Technical Services; 
·Modifies, repairs, and troubleshoots structures/interiors systems on company aircraft. Provide technical assistance to line station managers/mechanics reducing the number of chronic repeaters and improving reliability. Effectively perform assignments to meet performance goals within established deadlines in a high-pressure environment;
·Helps accomplish engineering orders and Fleet campaign Directives on company aircraft. 
·Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technical Services or VP Maintenance and Engineering; 
Job Requirements:
 
D. Education, Qualification and Requirements:
 
·Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associate degree in Aerospace Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required;
·Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) rating preferred;
·Must have at least Five (5) years working in an aircraft maintenance organization that maintains different types of large airplanes (having 10 or more passenger seats) as part of a Part 121 air carrier or Part 145 repair station;
·Must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible positions in manufacturing, airlines, engineering with three years in powerplants, systems or airframes and one or more years in a supervisory role;
·Familiarity with AMOS or other similar maintenance systems preferred;
·Previous supervisory or leadership experience in managing a team is preferred;
·Demonstrates excellent management, communication skills, professionalism, and positive customer service attitude without compromising quality;
·Ability to communicate effectively; in both oral and written communication;
·Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets the Company’s insurance standards;
·Pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC);
·Eligible to work in the United States.
Salary Range: $85,000-$90,000 annual
