Float Mechanic - Fixed Wing



FULL-TIME Opportunity in Wichita, Kansas

$31.00-$40.00 per hour starting pay 

*$5,000 sign-on bonus* 

We are hiring for Aircraft Float Mechanics to support the daily maintenance of the fixed wing aircraft across our region. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to airframes, appliances, etc. Our Float Maintenance team maintains our aircraft to the highest standards possible. This is a full-time travel position, traveling via air and ground to assigned work locations.

  • Provide on-site maintenance support for our fleet of Fixed wing C90A and B200 King Air series aircraft located at various locations
  • Maintain the fixed wing aircraft
  • Preform Scheduled aircraft maintenance
  • Manage base inventory
  • Maintain company owned ground support equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Education, Certifications and Licensing

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
  • Valid state issued Drivers License
  • Additional FAA/FCC ratings preferred
  • Three years of fixed wing turbo prop maintenance experience
  • A minimum of six months fixed wing maintenance experience during that last 24 months
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Intermediate-level computer skills with an inventory system
  • Manufacturer training or equivalent on fixed wing C90A and B200 King Air preferred
  • Fixed wing C90A and B200 King Air maintenance experience


  • Travel between bases to support maintenance needs is required
