Summary
The Business Development Manager will work with company and corporate leadership in the development and capture of the C4ISR, Border Surveillance, Aerial Delivery/Sensor Emplacement business and new U.S. Government contracts. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, aggressive self-starter, with a demonstrated track record of winning new U.S. Government and Department of Defense business.The BD Manager will work closely with our executive leadership to prospect opportunities then autonomously lead the capture and proposal effort from start to finish.This is expected to be a demanding position requiring a driven, results-oriented individual, interested in growing with the company while we double or triple our business annually.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on Business Development Management experience, related to U.S. Defense Industry
  • 5+ years in C4ISR, Border Surveillance and/or Aerial Delivery/Sensor Emplacement capture
  • Military experienced preferred
  • Strong opportunity prospecting, pursuit, capture, and proposal writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a multi-hundred million dollar new business pipeline
  • Well-versed in current opportunities in the Defense Industry, especially for small business
  • Outstanding industry knowledge, with wide-ranging contacts and high proposal win rate
  • Experience in capturing and managing capture efforts for $25M+ programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate ability to work and think strategically and independently
  • Confidentiality and company loyalty are a must
  • Experience in Government acquisition process a plus
  • Ability to interface with senior government, industry and military officials, VIP’s, international executives and others
  • Familiar with a variety of field operations, concepts, practices, and procedures 
  • Able to multi-task, accept and adapt to change quickly
  • Detail oriented with strong follow through and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently or as a team
  • Good writing, technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be willing to travel, including overseas, as part of the Business Development team
  • Secret Clearance preferred
