Job Description:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer service agents must keep both the company goals and customer expectations in mind when completing their daily tasks. Everyone is responsible to meet or exceed all performance goals. ROC agent is an integral part of Piedmont Operation for the ramp customer service.
 
ROC agent duties:
* Log and relay gate changes, cancellations, service requests and other pertinent flight information to the respective department personnel
* Monitor all inbound flights in her/his assigned sector
* Serve as a liaison between dispatchers, flight crew, utility, catering, gate and ground personnel
* Provide customer service by monitoring and facilitating the transfer of bags with time sensitive connection between Regional to Regional, Regional to Mainline flights
* Must be detailed oriented, adapt to changes, quickly assimilate new format and procedures
* Great computer skills
* Able to communicate with various management level and be accurate and efficient in verbalizing the decimation of information to the intended parties
* Able to create and forward HOT BAGS dispatch sheet to assigned HOT BAG runners, able to communicate factual information, and update to the EROC HOT BAG runner
* Create daily shift report to send to the ROC manager and Duty manager
* Candidate with knowledge of T. Link - Prime - Reroute Monitor - Back Tracker a plus but not obligated
 
Minimum Qualifications:
* Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
* Ability to work independently meeting specified deadlines
* Ability to work well and communicate with all levels of management and support staff
* Advanced ability with Microsoft Office Suite
* Flexible schedule
* Must have Main Line Experience and prior experience with internal controls processes for accountable items
* Excellent attendance record
* At least 18 years of age
* High School Diploma or GED
* Valid Driver’s License
 
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous Operations Tower experience
* Familiarity with LOB, FAA and AOSSP regulations
* Experience with Gate Manager and FIDS
* Knowledge of basic airport procedures and fundamental job requirements for gate and ramp agents
* Current Piedmont employee with a minimum six months of service
 
Work Environment:
* Standard office environment, use of computers, two-way radios, other office equipment
* Work weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
 
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
