To deliver high-quality rotary wing flight training in accordance with GCAA regulations and Horizon operational standards, ensuring students develop the required flying skills, technical knowledge, professionalism, and airmanship necessary to become competent and professional helicopter pilots.
Responsibilities and Authorization
- Conduct helicopter flight and ground instruction in accordance with the approved training syllabus.
- Ensure compliance with Horizon and GCAA standards, policies, and procedures.
- Evaluate and grade student performance, ensuring accurate records and logbooks are maintained.
- Act as a course mentor when assigned and provide guidance on professional standards and aviation values.
- Promote safety, compliance, and professionalism at all times.
- Report incidents, non-compliances, or suggested improvements to the Chief Flight Instructor.
- Maintain Horizon resources—aircraft, simulators, and facilities—in a safe and orderly condition.
- Support continuous improvement of the training syllabus and instructional delivery.
- To comply & implement the ISMS, PIMS & ITGC Policies, identify critical information assets, conduct information security risk assessment, protect personal information (staff & students), select controls to reduce risk to information assets and validate existing controls.
