Quotation Marks (""): You must be sure to use Quotation Marks around search terms of two words or more. Example 1: "projects" Example 2: "management experience" The AND Operator: Use AND between keywords when the records you want must have the keyword appearing on both the left and right of the word AND. Example: "management experience" AND "projects" Comma's (avionics, install) Comma's between words indicate an AND operator.
The OR Operator: Use OR between keywords when the records you want can have either the keyword appearing to the left or right of the word OR, but both are not required. If there is more than one term or phrase that can describe the keyword, separate all of these with OR. Example: "project management" OR "program management" OR "account management" The * Wildcard: Use the * symbol ( Shift + 8) as a wildcard to permit all possible extensions of a word. Example: "Manage*" (Returns records with manage, management, managerial, etc.) Parentheses (): Use parentheses () to group keyword searches together Example 1: ("manager" AND "program") OR ("manager"NEAR"project") Example 2: (("program" OR "project") AND "manage*") AND NOT "Software"
