Accounting Analyst
McWilliams Forge, a Wyman Gordon plant, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to work in Rockaway, NJ. The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and managing the plant’s Flex Productivity report. This position offers a great opportunity for someone to learn and grow with the accounting team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enter all Accounts Payable invoices into the accounting system in a timely and accurate fashion
- Problem solve issues relating to two-way and three-way matching (invoice, purchase order, receiver)
- Help other functions and leadership adhere to the plant purchasing approval matrix
- Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Journal Entries
- Update and send out the Flex Productivity report first thing each morning. This report measures direct spending and labor on the manufacturing floor
- Assist Controller, and accounting team, with ad hoc requests for analysis and projects
- Assist and lead Accounts Payable activities such as invoice entry and payment preparation
- Support plant Sarbanes Oxley goals and perform accounting tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Learn the company’s approach to internal controls and apply it in practice and assist broader accounting team when internal audits occur
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Attention to detail and committed to high work quality
- Approximately one year of accounting experience in a high-performing environment (manufacturing or publicly traded company is a plus)
- Experience with internal controls and/or Sarbanes Oxley is preferred
The range of pay for this role is $60,000 to $75,000 US Dollar (USD) salary based on a variety of factors. This role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays, with three (3) additional PTO days (personal, floating, and birthday).
