We are looking to hire a specialist in financial analysis and planning (Business Control) to support managers and departments across the company with finance-related tasks and insights. The role is part of a strong team of professionals working across operational units, providing managers with critical financial insights and decision-making support.

We seek a driven individual with a strong academic and professional background. The selected candidate will receive extensive training and support from experienced team members and develop deep knowledge of airline operations and publicly listed companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Revenue and cost analysis (general and specific)
• Monthly performance forecasting (rolling forecast)
• Development and maintenance of management reporting
• Participation in analytical meetings with department heads
• Contribution to the financial aspects of business plans and various cross-group projects
• Participation in the preparation of presentations and announcements to the stock exchange

Qualifications:

• University degree in business, economics, engineering, or related fields; postgraduate education is preferred
• Experience in similar roles is an advantage but not required
• Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting is desirable
• Understanding of airline operations is a plus but not required
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability are key
• Must demonstrate initiative, be results-driven, ambitious, and ready to take a leading role in presentations and meetings
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required; knowledge of Cognos and/or Power BI is a plus
• Strong skills in both English and Icelandic
