As Business Support Group Controller you will coordinate and manage for assigned Engineering business areas for their digital needs, by identifying, developing, and/or implementing solutions to improve business processes. Coordinate and manage digital projects to achieve strategic and operational objectives, ensuring regulatory compliance and security are always complied with.
In this role you will:
- Subject matter expert (SME) for assigned business areas, facilitating digital capabilities across the department to provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on systems, technology, contracts, and processes.
- Provide technical support to respective end users on the various digital systems and technologies, and construct training sessions and materials.
- Generate, analyse, and communicate data in a clear and accessible manner, ensuring ease of understanding for users. Utilise insights from the data to inform ideas and concepts that could lead to business projects or assist in troubleshooting identified issues, articulating findings effectively.
- In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. vendors, IT) and other support units, work towards optimising specific system functions to improve the departments business performance and resolve digital system related issues.
- Ensure that all digital system changes and implementations are adhering to compliance, security, and any regulatory standards, including but not limited to data protection and confidentiality requirements.
- Manage the delivery of small to medium complex projects, highlight potential project risks which could impact the delivery within agreed timeframes, cost and quality.
- Where required, responsible for ensuring business-related activities for IT projects are owned, planned, recorded and executed, undertaking the project if required.
- Support with the preparation and testing of the Acceptance Test Pack for each function, module and system within the various functional areas to ensure new releases are tested prior to implementation. Assume responsibility for scope and functional definition in their respective area.
- Manage direct reports by providing guidance, development opportunities, and coaching. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and enhance the team capabilities.
QualificationTo be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or similar.
- 5 Years of experience in Engineering in aircraft maintenance, engineering, airport operations systems.
- Preferred experience and product knowledge in Engineering ideally aircraft maintenance, aircraft engineering, airport or airline operations.
- Proven background in enhancing and developing business requirements, providing user support and/or data analytics preferred.
- Strong interpersonal written, verbal communication, and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Modern SaaS platforms, Microsoft Office Power platform applications including experience with business process mapping software.
- Preferred experienced with ERP/MRO, document management, asset and tool tracking, and planning systems.
- Preferred SAFe Agile PO/PM Certificate.
