Report ToFreight Revenue Accounting Manager
Position SummaryTo oversee and manage the Freight Sales and Audit functions, ensuring accurate billing to cargo agents and proper settlement by them. This includes monitoring cargo agents debts, transitioning to automated billing for new stations, and overseeing the reconciliation and aging of Freight Sales suspense accounts. The goal is to ensure accurate sales capture and appropriate adjustments to the correct accounts. Participate in Robotic Process Automation projects alongside another executive as a backup.
Key AccountabilityOperational Responsibilities:
- Monitor all Air Waybills cleared in the RAPID Rapid Data Interface screen before the weekly, fortnightly, and monthly closures to ensure all Air Waybills are accounted for billing in the correct month.
- Verify and approve Charges Correction Advice (CCA) to ensure they are supported by Debit Credit Memos raised by stations.
- Verify and approve invoices, credit notes, and journal vouchers (JVs) in SAP for amounts short-billed or over-claimed by customers or agents, to recover short collections.
- Approve updates and contra outstanding Revenue Discrepancy Notice and credit notes, and keep stations informed about outstanding Revenue Discrepancy Notice as needed.
- Ensure that monthly reconciliations are completed by staff, with no items aging beyond 90 days, to facilitate prompt investigation and clearance of outstanding amounts.
- Ensure timely submission of Form 100 and aging reports are uploaded to the Freight Sales shared drive and that self-updated aging is placed in the Financial Accounting Department shared folder before the due date.
- Analyze and verify monthly warehouse revenue collections to ensure other charges, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and tonnage are accurately captured by RAPID/SAP.
- Participate in Robotic Process Automation projects.
Governance & Policies:
- Report any potential risks and breaches of compliance to senior executives and above.
- Ensure compliance with service standards and Service Level Agreements to maintain appropriate service levels for internal and external customers.
Qualification & Working Experience- Degree in Accounting/ Finance.
- Or Professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MIA, etc.).
- 1 – 2 Years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
Area of Experience- Audit/ Accounting/ Finance.
Personality TraitsTechnical - i) Possess in-depth understanding of accounting principles and practices; ii) Well-verse with ERP and other business / accounting tools
Possess good knowledge of Word processing, spreadsheet and presentation tools (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
Industry Knowledge - Need Industry knowledge of aviation industry, preferably cargo, or knowledge of the job role
