Working between 8-20 hours per week, the intern candidate will work collaboratively with the Finance and Accounting Managers. Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing journal entries for month end close.
- Assist in posting general journal entries in the general ledger account reconciliations in the Oracle system
- Assist with testing the operating effectiveness of the corporate key controls within or business control assessment
- Perform/observe physical counts of fixed assets from the corporate fixed asset sub-ledger
- Support the Corporate Accounting Manager with various projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Must be an Accounting or Finance major in third or fourth year of college
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate and share information, knowledge, and expertise with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work well with others with limited supervision
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to develop effective working relationships which foster integrity and respect
Education Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in Accounting or Finance
