Arconic is currently in search of a Plant Controller to join our Kawneer Business in Visalia, California. As a Plant Controller, you’ll be a key member of our Plant Lead Team and act as a strategic business partner to the Plant Manager and Kawneer North America Controller, playing a vital role in driving the development and execution of business strategies.
As a trusted advisor to plant and business unit leadership, you’ll help shape the future of our Visalia, California facility through financial insight, operational collaboration, and strategic influence driving financial strategy, leading budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring the accuracy of cost accounting and reporting. You’ll also be at center of capital investment planning, ROI/performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, translating complex financial data into insights that directly influence operational decisions and profitability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop accounting staff and support personnel (two employees)
- Significantly improve the quality of financial understanding and awareness in the region to facilitate decision making by connecting nonfinancial activities to financial results.
- Identify and communicate business improvement opportunities while providing transparency to attaining commitments via the DI process.
- Coordinate all forecasts and plans as well as bridging to actual and expected results.
- Manage financial integrity systems and compliance activities including FBP SOX and ASAT requirements.
- Project reviews for capital and expense projects.
- Manage actual/standard cost systems and link to order pursuit and pricing decisions
- Provide Arconic Business System (Lean Principles) initiatives.
- Ensure financial information systems are meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
- Support headquarters financial personnel with best practice standardization, process improvement, cost, and productivity analyses
- Major Customers: Plant Manager, Visalia Lead Team, KNA Finance Director, KNA VP, KNA Lead Team, Stockholders
- other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
- 5 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
- 5 years accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. including at least 2 years in a Controller or financial leadership role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SOX.
Salary:
The base salary range for this role is 100-130K. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
