Dassault Falcon Jet is building a state of the art 175,000 square foot flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB) in Melbourne, Florida. Dassault Flacon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.
Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, FL is seeking a full time Senior Accountant who will work with financial and operational data at DFJ to support the MRO.
This position will be responsible for managing key performance indicators, analyzing and evaluating financial results, partnering with operational leadership, as well as assisting in the monthly preparation of the management reporting package for a complex aircraft maintenance environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes monthly results and articulates actionable recommendations to senior management to ensure financial results are achieved, with a focus on operational cost drivers, labor utilization, and maintenance program performance.
- Assists in the preparation and review of company monthly financial statements.
- Assists in the preparation of annual department budget and company consolidated budgets; develops and updates monthly/quarterly forecasts as required, including collaboration with operations and support functions.
- Responsible for reconciling balance accounts and preparation of monthly account analysis; researches and resolves reconciliation differences and recommends corrective actions as needed.
- Prepares month-end close activities; posting and reviewing journals entries as required.
- Manages fixed assets and capital appropriations for multiple facilities, including assets related to aircraft maintenance, tooling, equipment, and facilities.
- Assists with dashboards to scale the monitoring of KPIs and other management tools to drive efficiencies and business growth throughout the organization.
- Supports internal controls, audit requests, and adherence to corporate accounting policies in a regulated aerospace environment.
- Provides guidance and technical support to accounting staff and contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required
- Three to five years of accounting experience preferred, preferably in a manufacturing, aerospace, or MRO environment.
- Proficiency in SAP or related ERP system.
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting, including exposure to operational or manufacturing cost structures.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position typically falls between $70,738.00 and $106,384.75 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus, shift differential or relocation assistance. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
