STAFF ACCOUNTANT
SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting Controller and Assistant Controller with a wide variety of functions, including accounts payable, payroll support, account reconciliations, expense tracking, audit support, and month-end close.
What you will be responsible for:
- Support a wide scope of accounting processes, including journal entry preparation, accounts payable, payroll support, inventory, fixed assets, general accounting and Intercompany/general reconciliations.
- Assist management with deliverables to Corporate and external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Provide accounting for the assigned organization entity or facility, verify the accuracy of journal entries, budget and accounting classifications and charges to assigned accounts.
- Perform such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensure adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintain professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Support monthly close process.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred but will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Three (3) plus years of experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
