To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant in our Accounting Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. The Staff Accountant also responds to general accounting inquiries and ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related field and possess two years of accounting experience. This position will report to the Manager, Accounting.
Essential Duties:
Prepare journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations
Assist with monthly close process
Maintain fixed asset records, including acquisition and disposal reports
Respond to general accounting inquiries
Ensure compliance with GAAP
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
Two (2) years of accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Working knowledge of GAAP
Strong analytical skills
Problem-solving and time management skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Skilled using various accounting software with a strong background in Excel

Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
Some travel may be required
