Staff Accountant
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide day-to-day support to the accountingdepartment ensuring the operational accuracy, effectiveness and compliances ofthe accounting processes.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support maintaining general ledger, record, and document company financial transactions.
- Record various journal entries for transactions as needed.
- Reconcile discrepancies between accounts and troubleshooting.
- Reconcile lease and loan balances
- Closing month-end in QuickBooks Online
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements
- Analyze the actual manufacturing cost
- Data analysis of financial and statistical data to facilitate management decisions, cost management, answer inquiries of vendors and clients.
- Prepare and present regular reports about company finances including budgets, debts, deficits, expenditures, and revenue.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION,EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting or finance.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables.
- In-depth knowledge and principles of financial accounting
- Some experience with cost accounting would be good.
- Some experience in public accounting
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Advanced computer skills include accounting software Microsoft Great Plains and Microsoft Office Excel, spreadsheets, macros, pivot tables, etc.
- Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision.
- Driven, self-motivated, and goal oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
