Task Description:

 

Aircraft Logs and Records Technician, GS-301-07: Maintains aircraft and engine logbooks and associated records. Proficient performing all operator, data entry and retrieval functions associated with aircraft record keeping. Performs networking functions between individual stations, including analysis and correction of errors caused by software, hardware or data entry. Transmits and receives data via floppy disk, modem and other electronic means. Extracts data, formulates and interprets management reports, creates archives, backups, and data saves in support of military deployments and detachment operations. Performs a wide range of clerical and administrative duties related to aircraft maintenance, such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing and typing, performing data base and systems analysis.

 

Task Requirements:

 

The Contractor shall perform administrative duties related to aircraft maintenance such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing and typing; performing data base and system analysis; maintaining aircraft and engine logbooks, and associated records. The Contractor shall be responsible to the Squadron Program Manager for Technical Directive (TD) Compliance, Support Equipment Planned Maintenance System (SE PMS) and Aircraft/

Engine Logbooks record keeping and reporting as required by CNAF INST Series and the following:

  1. Aircraft Readiness Status Reporting
  2. Naval Aircraft Flight Record (OPNAVINST 3710/4)
  3. Aircraft Inspection and Acceptance Record (OPNAVINST 4790/141)
  4. All situational and periodic reports required by TYCOM. TYPEWING, or HSC-2 and outlined by applicable instructions
  5. All current and future reporting required of HSC-2 maintenance through Navy systems (e.g. Optimized-Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA), Naval Aviation Logistics Data Analysis (NALDA), Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Services Command (NATEC)
  6. Ad-Hoc reporting as approved by the COR.
  • Certify entries in Aircraft/Engine Logbooks
  • Performs duties for Organizational “O” Level maintenance
  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance support documentation for H-60 Aircraft
  • Aircraft maintenance action documentation via logs, records, forms, and electronic means
  • Technical Directive compliance entries
  • Maintain Aircraft, Engines, and SE Logbooks
  • Dispersed Technical Publications Librarian (work center), as applicable
  • Utilize the current management information system(s) to maintain aircraft forms and records as required
  • Process readiness documents, administer the aircraft configuration status accounting program and verify aircraft utilization reports
  • Support services
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AZ “A” School or equivalent
  • Configuration Management for Organizational and Intermediate Activities (C-555-0059)

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd or weekend shift as required
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule Mon-Fri or Sun-Thur as required
  • Must be able to provide maintenance support for actual SAR missions within two hours of notification for weekends, holidays, and before/after normal services hours as required
  • Shall be able to travel in support of detachment operations as required
  • Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Satisfactory completion of T3/T3R National Agency Check Local Records Check and Credit (NACLC) or Access National Agency Check with written Inquiries (ANACI)

    resulting in eligibility for a SECRET clearance shall be required of employees assigned to perform:

  • Maintaining MH-60S Avionics Systems
  • -Aircrewman
  • Aviation Administration Personnel (AZ equivalents)

 

  • All other FTEs requiring access to Department of Navy (DON) IT systems or access to CUI will require a Favorable T3 investigation initiated by the Government GCA per 5510.30 series and NIMPSOMs and will be enrolled in Continuous Evaluation. All personnel will be vetted through the Contracting Officer Security Representative

 

Compensation

$31.72/hour

 

Other Compensation

Employees will receive a health and welfare fringe benefit of $2.65 for every hour worked.

Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in KAI’s 401k plan.  Employees have a minimum of eleven paid holidays.  After completing one year of service, employees will have two weeks paid vacation.

 

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
