What is the position: The Records Technician is responsible for the preservation and retrieval of aircraft maintenance records in accordance with FAA regulations and company policy.
Essential Functions:
- Perform accurate and complete computer entries of maintenance actions.
- Filing of all maintenance records.
- Engine Trend Condition Monitoring Data entry.
- Additionally review submitted maintenance work packages for completeness and legibility.
- Assist the Inspection Department in identifying paperwork discrepancies ensuring the completion form CA-16.
- Analyze data entry errors, determine cause and make recommendations to correct program use.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager
General requirements & qualifications:
- Have a basic understanding of Data Entry Principles.
- Be familiar with aviation and aircraft maintenance terms and acronyms.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Demonstrate a positive and productive attitude.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Legally authorized to work in the USA.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work
Exerting up to 75 lbs. of force regularly and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body, sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and walking /standing occasionally with or without accommodation.
Visual Acuity:
Includes inspection, close assembly, clerical administrative; This is a minimal standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer, extensive reading.
Environmental Conditions:
Inside environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
