Key Responsibilities:

This position supports daily administration oversight of the company’s defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans.

  • Serves as primary retirement benefits contact providing assistance direction regarding advanced issues from Employee Service Center, HR Partners and Payroll
  • Works directly with vendors/record keepers daily
  • Juggling multiple priorities and responding to high volume of emails and calls to provide time-sensitive response turn-around
  • Interacts daily with multiple vendors outside of benefits, including Human Resources, Labor Relations, IT, Payroll, Law, Financial Accounting and external service providers
  • Proactively identifies, diagnoses and resolves retirement benefits administration issues
  • Coordinates efficient, timely issue resolution with internal and external vendors
  • Uses internal and external data systems, databases, etc. to develop data-based solutions and recommendations
  • Drafts ad hoc communications to employees in support of issue resolution process
  • Drafts written procedures to support Employee Service Center execution of benefits administration support tasks such as wire processing, error report review, etc.
  • Works with Managers to resolve more complex issues, as appropriate
  • Audits benefits policies, practices, and procedures
  • Interacts with external consultants on benefit plan administration
  • Provides benefits support of small, annual projects such as annual plan audits, valuation exercises, and compliance testing
  • Supports benefits’ involvement in larger, more complex projects
  • Completes user acceptance testing for vendor and in-house programmatic solutions for retirement plan administration, testing both system and benefit calculations
  • Assists in the development of materials for benefit plans
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to employees and retirees on benefit programs
  • Designs business reports to capture key retirement benefits metrics and trends
  • Completes data analysis and reports related to retirement plans
  • Conducts research to identify benefits options for future plan design requirements
  • Collects and analyzes retirement benefits related data, including budget/financial, utilization, and employee demographics information
  • Maintains understanding of technical aspects of retirement benefit plan administration
  • Maintains current understanding of legislative changes impacting employee retirement benefits
  • Researches competitiveness of benefit programs
  • Stays current on benefits standard processes

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related field
  • (5+ years of Benefits experience) with at least 3 years of retirement plan (defined benefit and defined contribution) administration experience
  • Technical knowledge of benefits programs and plans
  • Possess expertise in HR service delivery
  • Demonstrate proficiency in HR technology applications
  • Have a sound understanding of technical and regulatory knowledge
  • Navigate organizational interdependencies, interfaces, and processes adeptly
  • Apply analytical thinking to problem-solving
  • Exhibit effective communication skills
  • Showcase strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excel in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word, and Access
