Working closely with the Specialist, Infra and Cloud, the candidate will create, support, and maintain, various functions within the Atlassian Suite as per desired technology architecture and business requirements. The individual will ensure highest quality of end-products, through introduction of new tools, technology, and agile practices, for the evolution of processes as well as optimization of applications. Working in the Core Technology and Enterprise DevOps Center of Practice (CoP) requires deep understanding of software development and delivery practices coupled with a knowledge of current software development tools used to support Agile & DevOps practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Support user creation and user management activates within and for external customers.
  • Track and administer users’ access, permissions, and licenses.
  • Action all request such as user creation, troubleshooting and inquiry within a reasonable time frame.
  • Support JIRA configuration based on project needs such as: build workflows, custom fields, and issue types.
  • Create custom dashboards, reports and queries to the JIRA database. 
  • Install and customize plug ins (defect management). 
  • Maintain the JIRA access Template. 
  • Configure and maintain our JIRA and Confluence systems. 
  • Administer JIRA announcements configuration in JIRA. 
  • Troubleshoot, Investigate, Resolve and Validate any issues that are reported against JIRA. 
  • Research, recommend, and guide standardized methodologies for bug tracking, issue tracking, and project management within JIRA and Confluence.
  • Support mass extract requirements request (more than 1000 requirements)
  • Create confluence spaces for projects. 
  • Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility.
  • Work closely with other teams to define best practices for using Jira across the organization.
  • Review and analyze data from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate analysis results and make recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide support for the business analysis and technology/business integration efforts.
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with internal IT standards related to operations, quality, and security.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 4+ years’ experience as JIRA Administrator with experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on JIRA as a Project/Application Administrator.
  • Certifications in Jira administrator or other Atlassian certifications. 
  • Experience integrating JIRA and Confluence with other applications.
  • Support the goal to continuously improve and implement Agile methodologies through the use of new tools and features.
  • Must be a team player with ability to work closely with diverse groups and working styles.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours, when required.
