Analyst, Sr Business Systems I

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst I for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:

Onsite
W2 position; 6 months with possible conversion
Candidates who are foreign nationals must have resided in the US for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years prior to assignment to the client’s applicable government contract.

Position summary:

The typical day for the Sr. Business Systems Analyst I involves a combination of Agile collaboration and action request fulfillment. Participating in the daily Scrum stand-up providing updates on progress and help remove any blockers related to requirements or user stories.
Work closely with the Product Owner to refine the product backlog, write and update user stories, and ensure acceptance criteria are clear and testable. Collaborate with developers and testers to clarify requirements for the secure, web-based Java application, often reviewing API documentation, data models, and UI wireframes.
Managing test environments and data and continuous learning to stay updated on new automation tools and strategies.
Deeply involved in supporting the development process by analyzing how new features integrate with existing Java-based components and ensuring that security and compliance requirements are addressed.
Use Digital.ai’s Agility tool to manage work items, support sprint planning and retrospectives, and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) by coordinating with stakeholders and validating that the delivered functionality meets business needs.

The team:

The group has one Scrum development team of 6 people.
They are currently working on Spring upgrades in addition to some user facing enhancements
The culture is collaborative, positive, and team oriented.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch, flexible. Occasional off-hours and weekends.

Required technologies:

Agile Scrum
User Stories w/Acceptance Criteria
Secure Web Based Application Experience
Basic Understanding of Java-based Systems to effectively communicate with developers and understand technical constraints.

Nice to have:

Digital.ai Agility for backlog management
Experience with Secure Application Environments for understanding of authentication, authorization, and data privacy considerations.
Agile Certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-ACP)
Visio
MS Project or similar software
Data mining using DB2, SQL, and/or other tools

Minimum required work experience:

6 years of IT business analysis experience.

Required education/equivalencies:

Bachelor&39;s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field.
Or 4 years of job related work experience
Or 2 years of job related experience plus an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other job related degree

Preferred Licenses and Certificates:

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), HIPAA, LOMA
