What youll do
  • Develop and monitor the effectiveness of campaigns, strategies and initiatives including Limited Time Offerings (LTO), Existing Cardmember (ECM) engagement campaigns, Inactive Cardmember initiatives, and more.
  • Present analyses, strategies and results to all levels of the organization. Ensure that the entire Strategic Planning & Analysis organization has the appropriate level of tool knowledge and that we are prepared for the future
  • Analyze the performance of existing partnerships, evaluate new partnerships and develop analysis that drives continuous improvement from American Airlines’ Partnerships.
  • Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning / forecasting processes
  • Analyze data derived from various areas, such as customer flight and spend activity, performance and budget analyses, partner campaign forecasts and historical results, digital engagement statistics, and outbound customer engagement in order to evaluate and devise strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, and gather and validate information, applying judgement and statistical tests
  • Develop reports and tracking methodologies to maintain oversight of performance trends and monitoring of campaigns, and to develop practical solutions to business problems.
  • Foster relationships and lead discussions with stakeholders across the company that are focused on driving long term value to American Airlines (including Cobrand, Strategic Partnerships, Customer Insights, and Loyalty)
  • Align teams around commercial strategies, key objectives and success metrics, maintaining clear communication across teams, and ensuring cross-functional actions are completed
  • Tailor communication of complex ideas to both junior and senior-level audiences

  • Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience/training 
    • Minimum 3 years of related work experience, or Master’s degree in a related field 
  • Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including Excel, Tableau, SQL, and SAS 
    • Experience in airline Network Planning, Revenue Management, Commercial, or analytical field 
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications
    • Eager to solve complex problems and puzzles in a constrained and dynamic environment 
    • Ability to leverage understanding of the airline business and commercial goals to draw insights, drive results, and create innovative solutions 
    • Adaptive to new ideas and business processes in an ever-changing marketplace 
    • Ability to perform in cross-functional groups with minimal supervision to drive outcomes which benefit the entire airline 
    • Skilled at sharing knowledge to develop the expertise of the team as a whole 
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
