Job Description:

Purpose:
This role is responsible for performing preliminary/incoming inspections, hidden damage inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections on aircraft as well as overseeing and implementing quality control procedures defined in the General Maintenance Manual at assigned location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with ensuring compliance with the conditions and restrictions set forth in the Company’s Air Carrier Operating Certificate and Company issued Operations Specifications.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with the implementation and administration of the Inspection Program as set forth in the General Maintenance Manual.
  • Responsible for the implementation and administration of the Flammable Locker Program.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with the implementation and administration of the Airworthiness Release Procedures.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with the implementation and administration of the Certification of Conformity Procedures.
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintaining compliance of the Receiving Inspection Program.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with maintaining compliance of the Weight and Balance Program.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with maintaining compliance of the Shelf Life Program.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with the administration of the Airworthiness Directives Program.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with the administration of the Non-Compliance Control Program.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with the implementation and maintaining compliance of the Tool Calibration Program.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with maintaining completion of the Major Repairs and Alterations Program. This includes submission of the FAA Form 337 when applicable.
  • Responsible for assisting the Chief Inspector with maintaining compliance of the Service Difficulty Program. This includes submission of Service Difficulty Reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Company produced parts procedures.
  • Conducts RAMP Inspections of Company aircraft.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of Company GMM and MTLM Manuals.
  • Ensure the Company maintains the standards set forth in its Quality Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Mechanics Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • 5 Years of experience as a Chief Inspector or Quality Control/Assurance Manager in an Airline environment.
  • 18 months of experience maintaining like aircraft.
  • 6 months of recent experience as a Chief Inspector or Quality Control/Assurance Manager.
  • Proficient in using tools, test equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned
  • High School Diploma

Preferred experience:

Turboprop experience on, but not limited to the following airframes:

  • SA226/227
  • DHC-6
  • DHC-8
  • EMB120
  • ATR42/72
  • SAAB340
  • SAAB2000
  • DO328
  • King Air

Physical Requirements:
Incumbent is required to be able to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs.
