The Boeing Company is looking for a Aviation Forecasting Analyst (Level 4 or 5) to join the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Marketing team in Renton, Washington.
What does the future hold for the global aviation industry? Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ Marketing team is looking for a Market Analyst to help us to continue our industry leading understanding of aviation spanet trends and future airplane requirements. We are looking for a highly analytical person who thinks strategically and is skilled at sharing insights with a range of audiences.
Position Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze spanet trends that will shape future passenger and cargo airplane demand including economic, airline, technical and regulatory factors
- Develop models and analytical solutions to support spanet forecasts, scenario planning and strategic business needs
- Create executive-ready reports and presentations to communicate insights and implications to internal and external audiences
- Develop and deliver spanet presentations and industry white papers
- Contribute to the development and communication of Boeing’s industry spanet outlooks
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience, 13 years related work experience, etc.)
- Experience analyzing economic and/or spanet data
- Statistical, data and/or predictive analysis experience
- Experience with data science programing languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R, SAS, MatLab, etc.)
- Experience giving executive level or customer presentations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience analyzing aviation, travel, air cargo or transportation spanet trends and data.
- Experience performing statistical, data and/or predictive analysis
- Experience using data science programing languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R, SAS, MatLab, etc.)
- Demonstrable understanding of modelling techniques for identifying relationships and predicting outcomes in long time horizon applications, as well as scoping / implementing analytic solutions with large and imperfect data sets
- Proficiency in database querying and advanced Excel skills including statistical formulas and pivot tables.
- Expertise in PowerBI, Tableau, or comparable data analytics and visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience conducting and presenting spanet research and analysis in a consulting, business or industry organization

Summary pay range (Level 4): $118,150-$159,850
Summary pay range (Level 5): $150,450-$203,550
